So I found out at the weekend the seat stays on my 2013 Norco Fluid 9.1 are twisted (no idea how) and need to be replaced. I contacted Evans customer service via email to see if they could help and got a reply with a link to a seatpost light mount, which is really not helpful.
Has anyone been successful in ordering specific frame parts through Evans or am I going to have to try and contact Norco direct? Or are there any Evans employees on here that might be able to help me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Given that Evans are UK's Norco representative, I found them useless when I had several queries about the products.
Good luck.
Cheers Jamie, I won't hold my breath then...
Complete waste of time when I needed bearings & rear chainstay for my RM Slayer, I ended up dealing with RM direct.
I work for for Evans, If you contact your local store they should be able to order the part for you.
They will first need to contact Norco to get a part code and price. The item will then need to be ordered, probably from Canada so unfortunately may take a some time to arrive.
Did you buy the bike new? Whereabouts are you based?
Rocky Mountain changed distributor not long ago and parts availability was a nightmare, often any delays with such things are down to the manufacturer!
Take bike into a store and get them to take some pics and contact Norco, they have a limited lifetime warranty on the frames. Obviously without seeing the frame I can't properly judge but I'd definitely take a crack at a warranty if its not normal wear and tear or crash damage.
Hey duner. I am based in Aldershot. The frame was a forum purchase so not new, although the guy I bought it off still has a reciept of purchase. What are the chances of sending the frame back to him and making a warranty claim? There are no signs of damage to cause the problem and it hasn't been ridden hard. Alternatively, going into a store may be a lot easier than sorting out couriers and waiting to see if I have a claim or not.
I've sent you an email!
