looking at getting one second hand (between that and a scandal) anyone ride one and how is it. Currently have a 100mm geared inbred frame.

I'm referring to the limited edition one form last yer as opposed to the original one

thanks

Not ridden a prestige, but I have one of the reissue clockworks and its great. Best bike I've had - nice and springy steely goodness ๐Ÿ™‚ Prestige will be a bit lighter than your inbred but surely the retro paintjob alone is worth it?!

Got one last year as a complete bike and as it was my first steel hardtail I only had my previous Alu Hardtail to compare it against. Good for climbing and twisty singletrack stuff. It has a very springy feel about it and to be honest it can be a bit too springy sometimes. Don't know whether other Steel Frames would be a bit stiffer.

I also use it for commuting as it has rack mounts and would not recommend it for jumping / big drop-offs but then again I don't think it was ever designed for that anyway. Another nice touch are the front Crudcatcher mounts which means no rubber band thingys to attach the Guard.

cheers
David

Prestige was built to be light hence the springyness... most steel bikes will be stiffer I reckon... It's no hooligan...
