I am 6'2" and have a 20". I tried an 18" but it was too cramped, but I have known people my size who have gone for an 18" with a layback post and a longer stem as they felt it was more 'chuck-able", I also know 6' people who have gone for 18" and 6'1" who have also gone for 20"- the best bet is to try both if you can and see what suits you best

I'm 6ft exactly, with long legs, short body and have an 18".

OP I'd definitely say 18". I'm 6f1.7 and I had an 18" and I found the TT a smidge too long for my tastes!

I'm 6' and went for the 17". I have a fairly short leg at 31" and the lower stand over heigh makes the bike feel more chuck-able exactly as jimw says. I tried both the 17" and 18" and couldn't tell them appart on an XC ride. I initially had a problem with the bike feeling a little wrong but changing the stem from 50mm to 70mm solved it. It's perfect now, wouldn't change a thing.

The only difference between the 17 & 18 is the stand over height. The effective TT is the same.

I'm 5 ft 8 and I have a 17!

I have no experience of an the 5, but Orange do have a demo fleet that any orange dealer can order in for you to test ride, there is a charge (about £35 from what I can remember which is usually refunded if you buy the bike/frame, and if you don't well a lot cheaper than buying the wrong size/bike) but well worth doing. You will be able to ride them on your local trails or popper trails near the shop (although guess does depend on where the shop is located).
Honestly a far better way of seeing what suits than asking on here, not to rubbish peoples replies/thoughts, but only you can really know what suits you, even someone of the same height as you may have longer limbs e.c.t or just different preferences for fit.

I'm 6' 2" and used to have a 20" that I thought was just right but when I changed I had a go on an 18" and that fit me perfectly. Sold the 20" frame to my mate and it feels huge compared to my 18" now.

As others have said though, only way to tell is to test both. Check out the Orange website dealers section to see what's available locally to test.

You don't even need to do this, Orange will send out the bike(s) in the right size to the dealer for you to test.

6'1" - 18" frame

20" would be far too big for me
