Hey, I'm thinking about buying a used Orange crush bike. Now my question is it is running a set of Rock shox totem forks on it, will 180mm travel n a 16" frame handle and be ok? Many thanks Rob
I think they are only rated to 140/150mm,
I run a 36 Float 160 in mine, highly recommended! Kicks back the head angle a but more, which is never a bad thing.
Totem sounds extreme but interesting.
If the deal is good, just sell it if you don't like it.
It is a pretty good deal, 07 with upgrades and the totems are 2010.
Be very wary if it comes with Totems, as it was never designed for that slack head angle! Run away!
And make sure your fillings are all sorted. Boneshaker.
Test ride it....., if you don't like it sell the forks. Simples
Boils down to the price IMO.
I think the crush is a very underrated frame.
07 came with 140mm up front and a straight 1 1/8th head tube and came in 15" and 17" but no 16". You got a pic of the bike? I think I've still got the brochure somewhere which gave max travel..... I'll have a look
Hardtails with more than 140mm of suspension are almost always a bit rubbish.
Even 160mm is being a bit daft really.
I've kind of gone off the idea of it, it's on pink bike if you all want a look, it's a little rough so I'm not gonna bother.
