Hi All,
I have recently purchased some roof bars for the car so I can mount my Mont Blanc Barracuda's.I normally through the bikes in the back of the car but the family all now want to have a ride out. I drove to Newcastle yesterday with the roof bars still on the car and what a bloody racket. Anything under 50mph is OK but over, it's a nightmare and your ears start to bleed.
My question is, How do all the other drivers put up with all the noise and especially the cars with all the carriers on as well.
Thanks.
I'm about to buy some myself for my new car..
The advise was given to me was to go for the aero bars...
Something like the Thule ones, as granted they are more expensive, but a lot quieter?
or, just turn the stereo up...
I've recently bought some Thule Aero-Wing bars and once you have the rubber inserts fitted in the track they are virtually silent, even on the motorway.
teetosugars - If you buy Thule, definitely go for the "wing" bars over the stadard "aero".

Will do!
