Orange and purple anodising ….. too much?

My new build is pretty stealthy but with the odd splash of aqua and purple ano. Far too many dull looking bikes around.

I'd say yes, too much, having been down that road. Headset, seatclamp and BB, stop there. Or stop before that.

The colours would be split hubs (purple) and stem, BB, seat clamp and headset (orange).

There is a fine line between not enough, too much and damn that's awesome! If you care about what others think, then maybe put up a render? If not, then you be you n do what you want.

It's an unusual combination, but could be saved with some blue & red as well, I don't even know if I'm joking or not, I've had a couple of drinks.

I’m all for colour coordination and customising, hell, I’ve been there too

My last mtb had a black frame, forks, rims dropper post, brakes and bars,

Stem, grips, hubs, saddle detail, fork decals, seatpost collar and headset were all lime green

I recently found this and it just hurt my head and caused severe nausea…(apologies if this belongs to anyone on here)

Each to their own, for me the enjoyment I get from my bike is from riding it. Not from looking at it or getting admiring glances from others.

Stem cap - Chainring - Grips - Headset spacers etc. Play around with colours with the easily swappable parts.

Do what you want, it’s your bike. There are loads of boring looking bikes out there so go wild!

I had (a restrained ammount of) purple hope bits on my On One Fatty, I think it looked good. Having said that I'm not a fan having everything brightly anodised. At least every other bit should be black so there's some contrast and it's not just a glitterball.

Black hubs or rotors
Black bars or stem+levers
If the stems anodised then a plain headset+BB+seat clamp. Etc.
