Not for me you understand. I dont lean that way.... 😳
They're for a friend, honestly....
Anyway - looking for a wide selection of road rims to pick from. Ideally something super light, with an unnoticeable braking surface (CX build, but for road tyres)? Any ideas or is it Open-Pro-Track-World again?
Just riding along? Strada?
I posted this the other day, it covers most of the decent rims that are available.
I think Just Riding Along probably sell them all.

Im not sure what you mean by unnoticeable braking surface?
brilliant blog post DT thanks.
I assume not yours as its in $?
🙂

apart from the Alphas, I dont know of any other disc specific CX rims at c.17mm width. Any contenders you can suggest?
Stan's Iron Cross works fine with road tyres if run with a tube (can't take road pressures if run tubeless) Good, lightweight disc specific rim. I've built a couple of sets for customers wanting CX wheels that they'll also use on the road.
Definitely also worth checking out the Velocity A23. I've just built a pair for myself and I'm very impressed. They're available without a machined braking surface.
any cx rims/road tyres that will go tubeless matthew?
The Iron Cross works really well tubeless for CX just can't do tubeless road. I"m pretty certain that the newer versions of the A23 are available tubeless and should do road tubeless. Alphas will work fine road or CX tubeless
cool.
wow those A23s look v good on paper. 426g, black, non machined, £45 from JRA..... nearly half the price of the Alphas.
I think we have a contender.
Cheers matthew, great help.
No, its not my review!
I think the A23's are meant to be dead good. Speak to Jon at JRA, I'm sure he'll be able to offer loads of useful advice.
Bin riding some Aerotracks for quite some time now, strong cheap, lots of colours.
19mm width
27mm Aero profile

No worries. We (18 BIkes) could probably sort you out with the rims too. Send us an email and we'll see what we can do.
As mentioned in the Blog if you go for the a23 keep the spoke count high. I went too low, great rim by itself though
cheers matthew. will get in touch. might be after some other bits to complete the build too.
Can definitely help I reckon.
Cheers
titusrider - fortunately this build is for a waffer thin female friend. no more than 55/60Kg but will probably go for 32h anyway for compatability.
