Had a one up for about 3 years pretty much hassle free apart from
Putting in some bigger pins to stop play.
But sold it on old bike so looking for another, but the loam falls in to budget.
Never tried PNW stuff so interested to hear if anyone is using one and how it feels. Any play or movement etc.
I can’t comment on the posts, but the PNW loam lever is far nicer than the oneup, I’ve just changed out a 2 week old oneup lever for a PNW as I disliked it that much.
Super happy with my new One Up but needs greasing more than the outgoing Brand X it replaced. Would buy another though. Very little play and fast action.
Have a PMW 27.2 external and OneUp internal. Both seem good but the PNW lever action is noticeably smoother.
Hated my OneUp lever, the BikeYoke one is much cheaper and miles better.
Have a oneup and a Brand X. There’s no discernible difference between them.
Had loads of one-ups. Faultless performance, lever is rubbish tho. Bought a PNW last year and that's been just as good. Used existing wolf tooth lever tho. If I was buying with a lever I'd probably go PNW.
What I'd actually do tho is get the Shimano EV integrated one...
Unless you particularly need the shorter lower end or 10mm increments of a one up I'd just get a brand x and spend the other £150 on something else.
One of the other reasons I've stuck with OneUp (and PNW is the same) is they are very short for their dropper length. Being a bit of a dwarf from the hips down, this means I can run 210mm or 200mm on all my bikes. The PNW was 200 un-shimmed so a bit shorter than the one-up. Which was what I needed for my Giga.
I went with OneUp and a ZTTO lever for the daughters bike. As mentioned by Alex they allow for roughly 20mm more travel per given overall length.
The lever has always been my go-to at around £25 but, as also mentioned the Shimano one looks interesting, given they know a thing or two about levers. Good price too.

Shimano or Bontrager Line Elite lever (probably mostly depending on whether you want to fit it directly to a shimano or Sram brake). Both are neater and nicer than the Wolf Tooth (or ZTTO)
PNW owner here, the lever is so good, post just works. Haven't used the One up but did come from a similar remote and PNW lever is much better.
Bumping an old thread! New bike needs 34.9 so the brand x is not an option this time.
So think it’s loam (cheapest) or OneUp.
OneUp - needed more grease, but had wonderful warranty back up when it failed after nearly 2 years.
PNW - we've the budget one that's one step up from a TransX/BrandX. It's been faultless. It was half price from PNW's Amazon outlet/shop direct without a lever. We reused old lever.
OneUp is coming in quite expensive now compared to the PNW. Although like the idea of being able to reduce play using OneUp oversized pins.
I just used a shim on my bike with 34.9 seatpost and put a brand x 200mm dropper in it. At the time I wanted a oneup but it wasn't in stock and I'm kind of glad because it saved a bunch of money.

Shim looks like an option! Then I can save loads by getting brand x dropper.
Brand x has 90mm minimum insertion length so guessing 100mm shim will be fine?
