It's a good read, nice to know cycling infrastructure in the northwest is being discussed at this level.  I've registered with GMCC and offered my services as a cycle commuter for Oldham Borough.

as someone who lives in Bury district and rides into Manchester each day, I was heartened to hear someone finally give the planners at Bury a right good shake, especially given the shambles of what they've done at Prestwich (they've spent loads of money on putting car parking spaces where a bike lane should go, which is one of the important bits of where they want the cycle superhighway to be)

now it's down to Andy Burnham to stump up the money for the regeneration, easier said than done
