i've been offered a Inbred 29er frame that sounds perfect for bashing out some miles on but how do they size up when fully built?

I am about 6"2 and usually ride a large in 26" guise for 'chuckability', but i'm right on the cusp of XL so some advice would be appreciated.

Yeah, i have done and it looks fine. Just was wondering what other people's sizes are in relation to the frame size. Unknown waters in 29er cove.

Normally a 20-21" on 26ers (6'2" - silly long inside leg - think T-rex). Went down to 19 1/2" on my ti 29er. No regrets. Much better fit compared to a 21" 29er I had previously. If the top tube fits go smaller seems to work on 29ers.

I'm the same height as you and love the feel of my 21'' inbred. I run it with an inline seatpost and a 90mm stem and it feels spot on to me - roomy but not stretched.

Thanks fellas... Andy you seem to suffer with the same 'grasshopper syndrome' that i do!

Do you both rock 100mm forks? And what wheels do you use?I would be apprehensive to go lower than that TBH.

Looking forward to this new project!

you want a 19.5in in that model if you want to bash it out.

Is that a large?

Yup thats a large. 100mm F29s here. But I do want to try them at 80 or 90 though. Remember a 29er roles a lot smoother so 80mm forks will feel a bit more like 100-120s on a 26er, or something like that! Wheels; Arches on King hubs 8) built up by the nice Mr Poddy of this parish ๐Ÿ˜€
