Anyone got any info or know when this is due out?

I had read it was due early this month.

My 8 Year old daughter wants one!

Omg, it's sized for eight year olds? I'd kinda figured early teens...

Do you reckon they'll still be making them in 3 years time, or do I need to buy this time round?

Edit - sorry, nothing helpful OP!

The baby fatty's a 12in frame and she's on that now, the tyres will make a bit of a difference so will need to try her on it.

Baby Fatty is set to appear in early November.

Note that it doesn't mention which year

In a bike shop the other day with children no3 and no4 looking at new mountain bikes, I said I thought they had enough bikes already (just got a new road bikes!) - to which no3 turned round and said

'We need n+1 bikes mum - like you always say, buy I think I'll be ok after I get a baby fatty'

luckily they were with me when I asked about them at on one - no one in the showroom had a clue, so I managed to convince the boys they were only an idea . . For now

*buys another lottery ticket*

Frames are done but rims were slow and tyres are still being made.
January (2014!) now.

Hmm. Ok I'm interested. Very interested.

Weight? (It matters more for small people)
Crank length?
Gearing?

And don't call it "Baby Fatty". My boys won't like that - the baby bit. The agreed term is "Little Big Boy".

How about re-naming them the Fat Boy and the Fat Dad. (Somehow Fat Lass, the ladies / girls version, just ain't gonna sell).

If it's called the fatboy then specialized might get little bit shirky!

might have a few negative associations. I don't think you'd sell many in Nagasaki...

Wasn't it tallboy and fatman that were the bombs?

Ok "Fat Lad"

surely it should be the on-one "chubby" (bit porky but not obese) to go with the "fatty" full size..and soon as please, my lad is desperate to get one...or he demands that I get him xs pugsley

Chubby is cool - and free of a gender (for all the little girls out there that want one!).

Or chunky?

Personally I like baby fatty - and my boys do too

I wanted Puppy Fat.

I don;t have a child small enough to ride one now so it's a bit academic, though.

Will it be available cheaper without decals so I can name it what I want? 😉

Brant,

Assuming I'm not on the "no sale" list due to attempts to hijack the name, three questions:

1) do you have the geometry and size guide yet?
2) do you have an order / delivery dates?
3) any chance of a father and son package deal (I have a lad who'd like that)?
