"Electrolisis Pain"
Very good.
Anybody want to buy my old white Inbred?
It's got exclusive wheels and you don't want it then tough, build one yourself. No one is forcing you.
£1900 no delivery, pick up only.
Gary, what size brake discs has it got? 😀
Is it grrrr bang bang whoop holler?
It hasn't got discs, it has v-brakes, you can't get discs on a bike for less than £2000. Super plush descending.
Fair enough - I take it, it comes with a vague warranty and that you are a professional bike spec'er.
Shibboleth - have no idea what the hell you just said. But yeah, it is fully grrrr bang bang whoop holler Cytech certified.

I would but I find it somewhat frustrating albeit fun at the same time
I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for Eltobleronostain. He’s built himself a nice looking bike IMHO and he’s probably had to flog his Saxo and his Nintendo DS to pay for it.

It's finding good homes for my little babies that I find frustrating... 😥
100!
update: his reply to my last response
good ridance....
I think we should open a book on this and see if it ever sells.
Yey, another reply!!!
whatever dude do what the hell you like although i
suspect you want a freeride bike and this aint it...
Why are you behaving like hyperactive teenagers phoning up pizza delivery drivers for bogus addresses. So you don't like the guy's bike and you think he sounds like a knob? Just leave him to it, if someone wants his bike, they'll buy it, if they don't they won't, but why waste someone's time for no good reason than your own juvenile entertainment? It's just pathetic.
BadlyWiredDog - You aren't selling a carbon 456 on Ebay are you?

Whilst this is all true, I hold my hand up, I can't help wondering, why do you care? You are Electrolisis PAin? I claim my free on one frame thank you.
Edit Damn you GlitterG beat me too it
When one is as superior as the average singletrackworlder, it is his moral duty to mock those less fortunate.
As you were, gentlemen.

No, I don't know the guy, I just think it's utterly unfair wasting his time like that. And it reflects really poorly on the people involved. And that's it really. It's mildly ironic, don't you think, that you rip the piss out of a complete stranger on this thread and then ask why I care, as if I have to have some sort of personal involvement in the whole sorry affair. Why do you care? The world's full of people who are different from us or don't share our taste or whatever, what's the point in ripping them to bits in public? Like I said, it reflects pretty badly on those involved and the fact that it ran for three pages with only the mildest of rebukes, says it all about this sorry, car-loving, self-righteous excuse for a forum.

Indeed moron baiting is my fave hobby.
Why do you care?
Because its fun.
I don't own a car nor love them. In fact, I can't even drive.
Don't you see, you're doing exactly the same thing as others are doing on here, except without the fun.
You are criticising people's attitudes on here, and we are criticising the Ebay sellers attitude on his advert.
Do you see? Do you see Mr EarnestTrackWorld member?
Do you see?
😉
"says it all about this sorry, car-loving, self-righteous excuse for a forum."
Ohh get her!
The seller is also trying to flog an overpriced, badly spec'ed bike to unsuspecting would-be mountain biker. He's abusing his quite obvious trade connections to pass something off as professionally built and supplied, yet exploit the tax advantages - not to say the complete lack of comeback - of selling it privately for what the full retail price inclusive of VAT would be.
I don't really thinks that's cricket.
Thanks to a bad foot I have not ridden my 456 Carbon build either. Mine is 23.9lbs, cost me £1,250 in (OK some 2nd hand) bits and has a unique coloured frame.....
Must be worth £3k of anyones money!
I have a marketing degree and still managed to build it fine without Cytek training, do I ask extra for managing that?!?
Anyone interested please mail me at -

PS - happy to insult you in the mails if that is your thing too 😉
I don't have a problem with you taking the mick out his minging bike - yes, it is minging - I just think it's needlessly spiteful asking him pointless questions on eBay.
I agree with shibboleth - the seller is trying it on a bit with the build costs, price and the implication that there is some sort of warranty available.
In his defense all of the facts in the ad are easy to check and, even without the intervention of the stw massive, it's unlikely to sell for what he's asking.
The baiting is probably a bit OTT - people should just send questions saying what they really think about the sale.
If someone did buy it and liked how it looked they'd probably have a good bike to ride.
is spitefulness ever needed?needlessly spiteful
Go on, we were just having a laugh, and actually doing the guy a favour as he might just realise that posting with an eff off attitude and telling every seller to eff off isn't going to fulfil his fantasies. He should be thanking us. Quoting the erudite GG up there:
Do you see? Do you see Mr EarnestTrackWorld member?
Do you see?
It's his arrogance I find astounding, he's trying to sell something for two and a half grand an he's being an absolute moron.
Still, we might see the same bike relisted for about £750 quid in a few weeks.
😀 😆
Tend to agree with you ^^ there Shib. The guy is taking the piss and misrepresenting the actual cost of the items. Probably verging on fraudulent, especially as he plays on his being 'trade'.
Deserves all he gets IMO, the numptie!
This forum ain't what it used to be... People agreeing with me??? Whatever next. 🙁
😀
How about someone call up Leisure Lakes in Daventry to see of they want to sell it trade. I would be very suprised if he and the bike aren't based there.

He doesn't have to answer the questions. When I sold a rally car on eBay a few years ago I had idiots asking the mpg and if you could fit a baby seat in the back (it had no back seats and a roll cage!).
Gachet
Did you check Pistonheads to see if there was a thread like this?
GachetDid you check Pistonheads to see if there was a thread like this?
I didn't, but probably should have done. My listing was hopefully a bit better as I didn't bend the truth quite as much. I quite enjoyed sending a few sarcastic replies, but this guy seems too stupid to know when people are winding him up.
no with hindsight I agree now that sending silly questions is childish waste of everyones time and reflects badly on me
....so instead Ive reported the listing to ebay stating that it is misleading and against ebay selling policies due to falsly inflated advertising of RRP for the parts and I included a link to the frame for sale at On One website as evidence of this
we will see if it get removed
Iain1775- just aswell you are not buying the bike, you could save your money and buy a life.
Vindictive to a fault 😐

Been said before, but
ooooooooh, get HER!!
So he built this bike

An expensive lesson methinks; can't see anyone spending more than £1.5k on it really. Wonder what the most anyone has spent on building up an On-one? Good frames for the money I'm sure; seeing as the frame size is 20 inches he hasn't got much of a market.
Just p****d off he,s trying to get my bike pulled thats all 😉

It's a hugely complex one that isn't it?
You have to decide what you want, find out who the manufacturer/distributor is, pick up the phone or go to the website, order it and ..................................................and...........and.....
........................................oh that's it ! 😕
Aren't the bankers bonuses due any time now, maybe it will sell...
I'm going to train to be a cycle mechanic, they can obviously afford to build a £4K bike that they've no intention of riding and then sell it a loss if someone hits the 'buy it now' button for less than £3K.
OR
Like I did last month-
Go to Rotherham, spend an hour being continuously left on my own whilst they rallied from one disaster to another, eventually spec up an 456 XT spec, £400 for the frame, £400 for the £800 Fulrcum wheels, £90 per end for the Elixir CR's 203mm and about another grand for forks and remaining finishing kit. £2K max for a similar spec bike. And then after three phone calls over the following three weeks NOT get an exact cost and eventually go off and buy something else.
Call me silly but I think the seller thinks we all have '****t" written on our foreheads...
Stuff like that never sells on ebay. You put up with dealing with anonymous people with no comeback if you think you can pick up their 12 month old £4k bike for £1200, but when you're paying new money for new stuff you go to a bike shop. Starting bid of £2.5k? Next!
