Got an old zipp 950 disk, id say about 1998, maybe later. It has a bit of play in it although spinning freely but thought I'd give it an overhaul

I've removed the axle easily enough and first question is bearings are stamped r6z. There are loads of r6zz and r62z..but not many r6z. Is there a difference?

Next I want to take apart the freehub as there is a bit of play in it. Easy enough to remove but once it's off im stumped as to how to take the bearing out. No idea how to post a pic otherwise i would!

Z just refers to the seal config

ZZ IS 2 seals

Z is one seal

It's reasonably normal for the disk to have a slight slight bit of play to be maximum free running I've found.

Mine doesn't I don't care for the movement at the expense of speed.

Ah ok. I can find r6zz online No issues.

Anyone have any idea how to get at the bearing in the freehub. Do I need a special tool?
