Right I hate these threads but If you cant beat them join them , Looking to use my hardtail to cycle to work . So I've put back on the 44t ring and now looking for tyres that roll well but I dont have to faff about every time I wont to go out locally or a trail centre.
A trusted source wreckons Maxxis Crossmarks , any good. ?

Or any others you would recommend.

Crossmarks are good and fast. One other possibility is small block 8's. Neither will be great in the mud, but there has to be a compromise somewhere.

CTrust the "source" dude!

You'll not get many replies here unless you put 1x10, dropper or Long travel hardtail on your title. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you want something that will drift good but hook up like a leith prossie leant over in the slop try a kenda BBG. But you might have a certain someone nick your bike at every oppertunity for 'tyre testing" ๐Ÿ˜‰

Crossmark's are quick, and still grippy offroad as long as it's not muddy.

If you want quicker still though, and still reasonably grippy offroad, check out the Michelin Dry2's that On One are selling cheap.
