Check if you're name is on this list remind me if not.Cream Teas for all i presume as Tea Garden lady needs a heads up midweek.Right so far i've got Knottie, Sharki, Aleigh ,Annabanana, RichP plus others ,Rusty Trowel? Salad Dodger ? As i said remind me if you are coming .It's meeting at 930 ish for a 10ish start.Car Park by Mc Donalds. So on the A39 just after Dunster right at the 1st roundabout, a little way along there on your left hand side.Look for a black Astra Estate with an old fartknocker loitering by it!I think it's £3.50 all day or it was a few weeks ago.Route has got a few climbs some sweet descents smashing views cream tea half way and fish n chips on the beach at the end .So for about 20 sniffs a cracking day out.You don't HAVE to buy grub you can bring yer own if you want. It's about 25 ish miles allow most of the day as we don't do hurry !
I think thats about it if you want to see the route and some pics to get you in the mood i'm sure Knottie will be only to happy to oblige.(thats if he's calmed down enough !!!)

I'm in unless it's absolutely p***ing down. Is town and all its joys walking distance from the meeting place? The missus can't drive the van and wouldn't want to drag a 2 year old on a hour long hike. If not i could try to squeeze us all in the avensis of doom.

I'm keen but dependant on whether my wife books a last-minute holiday for the week or not.

Hmmm, well there's a idea!

Transport issues here right now, so doubt i'll able to camp too, shame as beer pre exmoor riding always makes it more the challenge..lol

Do hope that there will be more West Country adventures in the future.

All you buggers do is complain! We've had 10 years bone dry....oooh it's too hot........ one damp day and ........ muddy!....

Seriously though, we make sure that the tracks will hold up in the wet, and also plenty in the trees for shade/shelter.
Porlock is the tea stop this year.
Pass the word round please, don't want you all leaving it too late.

Steve

Really sorry to be a pain OF, but one/two of my cycling friends (not STWers) are demanding that I go riding with them this weekend (the barstewards)

Now I can either drag them along with the STW gang, but this might be treading on your toes a bit, and upset your careful planning. Or we can fork-off and do our own ride if it causes you, or anyone else, aggravation.

What do you think?

"is your falling flying without style?"

Actually I have not fallen on my lantern jaw since Dec 08 so I'm due.

I've been to "Infinity and beyond", but bypassed Exmoor on the way so I'm looking forward to it. I hope to "fall with style" down some knarly trail of OF's choosing too.

BTW I've only once briefly ridden after Dibbs, on the Qs, and it was like trying to catch the wind. Can we lower his saddle to slow him down a bit? 😀

I hear that Minehead will be heaving with train spotters at the weekend. Apparently a new engine will be there...

Please don't ask me how I know 🙄

I'm bailing out of this one i'm afraid. Weather looks a bit iffy, and i can't be arsed to drive 90 odd miles to get wet. Think i'll dive over the Purbecks instead and save myself the diesel money.

Will no doubt see most of you later on in the summer somewhere. North Hampshire ride currently being arranged, will post route and dates soon.

Cheers Rusty.

Purbeck plans went out the window too, with tubeless debut disaster. This was supposed to be the end of tyre problems, not a whole new world of issues. Had to have a quick spin on the road bike instead.
