Whilst adjusting the play in the cup and cone arrangement on my XT hub I noticed that the axle looked off centre. when refitted to the bike i span the wheel and noticed that the hub does run out and does not look right at all.
There is no play at all now in the hub and it seems to spin fine but there is still this niggling feeling that something is not right.
Why would there be this runout in the hub? Something broken/ cracked?
Any help appreciated!
