I am board recommend me some.

I like the long distance adventures, alternative routes.

Favorite past blogs

Tracker man / Pete Jones. Interesting places and good non navel gazing writing.

While out riding. Excellent photos, writing not a patch on Pete's imo but still good.

That Emily chapple. When she did a world tour and Alaska tour. Good writing.

My dad wrote a blog for his round the world trip http://www.transworldcycle.com/ He wasn't a professional writer by any stretch but its an interesting tale from a couple of ordinary people having a bit of an adventure

Joff Summerfield is another one doing some interesting trips. Not sure where best to read up on it. I think I read most of it through facebook but you can get it here http://www.pennyfarthingworldtour.com/

For an even more off the wall one Ed Pratt is part way round the world on his two year trip. More pictures than words but some interesting stuff: http://www.worldunicycletour.com/

Most of the contributors to bikepacking.com have very good blogs, particularly Cass Gilbert and Joe Cruz. I'd also recommend tales-on-tyres.com and Ryan wilson's stuff on the Radavist.

I enjoyed reading Paul Lasenby's blog over the last year or so about his mega tour of the Far East.
