After the last couple of years crap spring weather, I'm looking for recommendations for an weeks riding with a bike holiday company in early spring that would suit an xc-jeyboi. 50:50 split up/down hill, nothing too technical downhill (i can't/don't do it), somewhere strict vegetarian friendly. Really just a week's chilled riding to boost my fitness & hopefully get some sunshine.
No doubt i'm wrong, but from what i see most of the bike holiday companies people recommend on here seem to be more geared to uplifts & tight twisty/technical downhill. Photo galleries seem to back this up ... riders wearing body armour & on 5" travel full sus bikes etc etc. I appreciate this is what the majority want, but really not what i'm looking for.
i am planning on taking my bike to the Canaries and exploring, ok i won't find the best stuff, but it will be warm and dry.
I have just booked a trip to finale Ligure in Italy in April and I'm hopping for the same as you.
When are you looking to go?
It's not cheep but I bite the bullet.

they may be able to point you in the correct direction
I've no real dates in mind, probably just after easter i guess.
If i get a decent week in cost isn't a huge issue.
Graham,
Think we may fit the bill. Body armour unneccessary with plenty of singletrack XC riding. Excellent warm weather around Easter and based on the coast in Southern Spain.

We don't do accommodation but have some cracking trails and big climbs if that's what your after. Oh and the weather is ace!
Just because the twisty gnarly stuff is more popular with visitors, means that there are more photos of those trails on the website. But dig deeply enough and you'll see it's not all that way!

Alan, Potdog, sounds promising. I'll go take a look ๐
Hi Grahamb, have a look at iRide Africa for some great trails based out of Cape Town. XC riding that's up your alley, and veggie-friendly!
Cheers
