i`m looking to get out on the bike this weekend and want to know if there is anywhere good off road near-by (not moors valley).

Bits and pieces near Cannon Hill woods in Colehill and between St. Michaels School and the Rectory (this is now a proper bike park I believe). Delph Woods in Poole has a good reputation but not been down myself.
