following my thread about Giro Montaro lids, I have ordered a Spesh Ambush, like this :
if it fits, I will need to mount my Exposure Joystick in an off centre vent. Does anyone do this and is the weight imbalance noticeable at all? i'm hoping not...
its never been an issue for me . joystick is so light i dont notice it.
id imagine if it was anything bigger or heavier you might.
I've done it, it's noticeable if you start thinking about it, otherwise it's fine
Fit two. One either side.
Balance innit!
edit: better make them lightweight ones. Don't want you trying a manual and overbalancing. You might hurt yourself.
I've got a feature with central vents, but I stick a torch on to a flat off to one side with duolock tape. Never really noticed it.

Wondered where they took the skin graft from.
Now I know. ๐

But he's right Iain.
With your crash history,an unbalanced head situation is not going to end well. ๐ ๐
At least he'll go round in circles in the car park FH, maybe stop him trying such exotic maneouvres such as manuals.... ๐
arrrghhh, I shoulda known better ๐
Always had my Joystick off to the side, the issue of "imbalance" has never even occurred to me before! So, no, not a problem (unless you are massively OCD!)

What,like at the Velodrome? ๐
Which side of the helmet though?
Left side for the Velodrome?
aye, I crashed in the velodrome too, remember ๐
Thread derailer>> Anyone going to the Velodrome this weekend for the world cup round? <<thread derailer ๐
^^^^ aye, me, with my arm in a sling, sat night ๐
Nope.
rerailer>> Off-centre Joystick here. As above, I notice it when I think about it, and not when I don't.
Going Sunday,no arms in any slings ๐
cheers ned, and others, sounds promising if helmet fits otherwsise
I use Diablo off to one side Iain, nae issues.
*Accred 2 at Emirates next week, I'll try not to think about you....
^^^ cheers nobeer. Enjoy the accred 2, it's great fun.
I haven't done a drop in session for 3 or 4 weeks but now the clocks have changed I'll be back in every week or so.
Depends on the light tb. My torch sits off to one side but it's light, and close to teh lid, so it's alright. If I put my big 4xml doofer off to the side it's heavy and sticks out more, I think I'd hate that (it's annoying enough in the middle tbh)
Ive got an Ambush, I mount my Exposure lights onto a GoPro adapter and use the GP mount the flat of the helmet - the mount point works well for both the light and the GoPro viewing angle..
thanks philstone, have you got any links to what I'd need to do the same ?
