following my thread about Giro Montaro lids, I have ordered a Spesh Ambush, like this :

if it fits, I will need to mount my Exposure Joystick in an off centre vent. Does anyone do this and is the weight imbalance noticeable at all? i'm hoping not...

I've done it, it's noticeable if you start thinking about it, otherwise it's fine

Fit two. One either side.

Balance innit!

edit: better make them lightweight ones. Don't want you trying a manual and overbalancing. You might hurt yourself.

I've got a feature with central vents, but I stick a torch on to a flat off to one side with duolock tape. Never really noticed it.

But he's right Iain.

With your crash history,an unbalanced head situation is not going to end well. ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰

Always had my Joystick off to the side, the issue of "imbalance" has never even occurred to me before! So, no, not a problem (unless you are massively OCD!)

Nope.

I haven't done a drop in session for 3 or 4 weeks but now the clocks have changed I'll be back in every week or so.

Depends on the light tb. My torch sits off to one side but it's light, and close to teh lid, so it's alright. If I put my big 4xml doofer off to the side it's heavy and sticks out more, I think I'd hate that (it's annoying enough in the middle tbh)

Ive got an Ambush, I mount my Exposure lights onto a GoPro adapter and use the GP mount the flat of the helmet - the mount point works well for both the light and the GoPro viewing angle..
