ODI grips - still made in USA?

I'm seeing a lot of cheap ODI grips appearing on eBay - are these the real deal, just cheaply made in China or just cheap knock-offs. Packaging looks identical save for the 'Made in China / USA'

Can't get the image to load of the Chinese made grips but here's the link

Check their ebay shop - every single item listed is a hooky fake china copy. Shimano bits, Maxxis tyres etc.. all knock off.

I bought some ODI grips on ebay recently and was pretty disappointed with them (normally a big fan of the long necks). With the benefit of hindsight they could well be fakes…

Loads of fake ODI grips about. You can get them on places like Temu for £5.

Fitted some genuine Dread Lock Tinker Juarez signature grips recently. Very impressed. Did 3 days bikpacking in Wales on a rigid MTB, happy riding gloveless most of the time. I think they're great and it's mostly the compound, though the shape/design is also really good.

The vast majority of grips are made by a very small number of Chinese factories, Ergon and ODI are 2 of the only ones still making them in house.

If anyone knows of any other brands who make their own grips, feel free to post them here.

I always like to support actual innovators and manufacturers rather than rebadging operations if I can.

Cheers! Yup there are an awful lot of Chinese manufactured 'ODIs' on the market and 18 quid is a lot for a pair of fakes 😬

Time to bite the bullet 💸

Years ago I had a pair of Cross Trainer grips after taking out a sub to Dirt , so comfy 👍I've got Vans grips on one of my bikes at the moment. Can you still buy the inserts on their own?

I don't think they still sell the inserts @oldfart as there is a new, single lock-ring version of the ODI Vans.  I was tempted but ended up going for a pair of AG1s from Bike Parts UK
