Following from the "cyclist attacked with a hammer" story a couple of days ago:

Ignore the daftness about the egss, its the comment at the bottom that caught my eye:

[i]"the cyclist was not wearing a helmet, presumably deemed relevant in this case since wearing one could have helped lessen the extent of his injuries."[/i]

So, wearing a helmet is protection against actual road-rage attacks, not just being knocked off!

This is wrong but it's the mentality we're starting to be brainwashed into believing. Resist this.
