My Bontrager rack has captive bolts which have seized up after 1 winter (3 weeks out of warranty)...anyone had to deal with this? I am thinking knock 'em out with a mallet and replace, using plenty lanolin/grease.

I'm updating this given the interest it's been shown ๐Ÿ˜

The bolts in these racks are semi-captive and I'd recommend anyone to drill the housing out a little BEFORE fitting and grease up well, so that you can actually get the bolts out a year later ๐Ÿ™

Cheers for the advice.

On a related note my Tortec rack has been Ok.

Do you mean the bolts that go into the frame?

I snapped one trying to remove the rack, wish I had greased the thread.

Damn, I thought this was going to be about unequal breast sizes ๐Ÿ˜•

Yes ooOOoo I do. I've yet to drill mine out but may attempt it this week.

Woody I'm afraid I have no unequal-boob stories for you, only equally sized ones.

Not if you are a slightly paler version of this
