Your big brands, i.e. Specialized, Trek, Giant, etc. There must be 1000s or even tens of 1000s of each model sold.
My main mountain bikes are a DMR Bolt, a DMR Trailstar( the new one), and a Surly Krampus. None of them are what you might call totally mainstream, and I've never seen either of the DMRs out on the trails, and the only Krampuses (Krampi?) I've seen were being ridden by the Surly boys at Charlie's SSUK.
How many of each might be out there? For example, how many Bolts does DMR need to sell to make it a viable product - 100,1000?
