Have started to get a numb feeling down the left edge of my left foot.

Using Teva Links shoes with thin flat pedals

Is it likely to be shoes that are a bit too tight?

Same shoes, same problem!
I have come the the same conclusion, that it is the shoes that are too tight.
I tend to loosen off the laces a bit which seems to solve it. It is less of a problem in the winter with thicker socks on though, so I suspect there is a pressure point somewhere.
It doesnt bother me enough to change the shoes though as I quite like them in every other respect!

Have you just started using flats? I have quite wide feet and a lot of pedals give me a numbness in the outside of the foot as they are just not wide enough to support the foot properly. I've found it worse with very thin pedals as-well.

Based on the above posts though it could well be the shoes….
