Hi again.

Right I've finally had chance to take this bad boy apart, well almost.

From a previous post on this subject it was suggested I needed a BB tool, like this yeah:
X-Tools BB Tool

But HT2 was also mention. What is HT2?

And lastly, how do I get this crankset / bottom bracket off then?

Thanks for taking time for advice (if any) ๐Ÿ˜€

You undo the bolt on the NDS and pull the arm off. Then bull the DS arm off, to axle will come out at the same time, its supposed to so don't worry. Then you remove the BB by turning it (IIRC) anti-clockwise on the DS and clockwise on the NDS. Simples.

I have those exact cranks. They are only attached on the NDS(Non Drive Side).

If you look at the NDS, there appears to be 2 allen key bolts. undo the inner (smaller) one. It is a self extracting system, where the inner bolt pulls the crank arm off the crank axle.

Then tap the axle, and it will pop out with the DS crank arm, which it attached to, from the bb.

Finally, undo the BB cups as described above. The tool you have should be fine for this.

HTII (Hollowtech2) is Shimanos crank standard, like GXP is for SRAM.

The tool above also has the little tool on the end for pre-tensioning HTII cranks. Yours need the Allen key as described above.
