Suspect I am not the only one on here who cuts through the posh houses on their ride!
Spotted this planning application up on the car barrier:

Looks like they are replacing the pop up barrier with a sliding one and a kissing gate that may be tricky to get through with a bike - or a pushchair for that matter - but as it's a private road I guess there's nothing that can be done?
I think we should erect something similar at the end of High Lane to keep the West Hallam ruffians out of our lovely idyllic town.
We took the barriers down as we hadn't seen you for so long we assumed you'd died of cold in your camper van! 😆
