Hi all. We're staying in Reeth next week with MTBs. Any recommendations for good local routes would be much appreciated. One day will definitely be spent riding west & picking up the Pennine Bridleway (for old time's sake). Interested in half day rides for wife & I, and will be doing a long day ride on my own as well.

Cheers!

Hi
If you're staying in Reeth why go to the North York Moors?
There's so much good stuff out of the door at Reeth.
Go and see Stu at the Dales Centre and he'll point you in the right direction.
Top coffee and cake at the cafe too
Cheers
Steve

Reeth's in the Dales rather than the NYM, which are the other side of the Vale of York. Ride out of Reeth, much less driving.

I think the OP meant the Dales rather than the NYM.

Some great trails north from Gunnerside or look up a castle bolton loop.

'The Edge' is a classic or variations there of. There's also loads to go at around Gunnerside and Muker areas.

Dales Bike Centre will sort out you with a route. Nice cake too.

Pedalling west to pick up the Pennine Bridleway? That sounds like a long day out.

To give you an idea, two 'mini' rides here - the southern one will be better.

Bit meatier - much better ride, some top descents especially if you go up towards Apedale via Summer Lodge on the way back and add in a descent on Grinton Moor to finish.
