Suggestions for good after work rides around north leeds. Setting off from city centre so not too far out.
Mostly off road and tecnical if poss. I have memory map.
I'd go for Meanwood Valley Trail. Head out of town along Otley Road or Meanwood Road, at the back end of Meanwood Park you'll see a gap in the trees and take it from there. Its a little bit rooty, a bit off camber, a bit rocky; it can take you all the way out to Harewood if you like, 15 mile loop
. If you want me to show you around it one night next week let me know, I've got no lights so it would need to be early doors (6ish).
second that. Other routes in other directions would be to head out towards calverly and blast round the woods at the bottom of the hill near greengates, go over to south leeds for middleton woods, west leeds for post hill, and all thats out that way.
there's a fair bit of nice short rides about, one day I'll tie them all together and do a tour de leeds. meanwood valley trail, out to adel easily best option though IMO

There is SHED LOADS. Right out of the centre.

For tech stuff, in addition to meanwood valley trail I would add gledhow valley woods, roundhay park, horsforth/ireland wood area as being highlights

Look over on bikemagic, rides, north leeds, they do a circular route round leeds about 50 miles if you ask on there i'm sure they will give you a link.

Use the canal and then go to Bramley Park, Calverley, Esholt, but were heading out tomorrow and Wednesday if you fancy coming out for a spin round Meanwood, Horsforth etc.
