I'd planned on riding Helvellyn tomorrow, but looking across today it looks like there's still plenty of snow up there. Is it worth bothering at the moment?

If not, any recommended routes (I'm staying near pooley bridge) or would anyone welcome me tagging on if you're riding?

Cheers

Monday probably a bad choice. Most snow is on N and E slopes. Check the fell assessors report:

Stay low on Monday - check Moor Divock and Ullswater shore BW, east side of the lake.

Summary: -20 windchill, possible whiteout, zero visibility!!

Edit - it's a great website this, it's put me off riding several times recently!! 🤔

MWIS is always pessimistic, I find weatherline (which is the Met Office mountain weather forecast) more reliable personally.
