I'm about to go for a new 2012 Niner EMD and I'd like to know your opinions on them and any photos that people may have.
It's going to built up with 100mm Reba RL's, XT drive train and Crests on Pro II's - pretty much whats on my current 29'er frame.

I'm a big Niner fan, but they are priced a little on the heavy side, but if the name means something to you and is important, then ok! I've ridden a mates EMD and to be honest prefer my original scandium Scandal frame. If you could find the extra, I would go for the scandium Air 9 because the they have that little bit more spring in the back end, but don't let me put you off the EMD. 😉
They don't make the scandium air anymore, both frames are hydro-formed alloy for 2012. And the EMD is now lighter than last year too 😀
It was either the EMD or a Kinesis FF29 as they're the 29'er frames my LBS can get in on my budget - the Yeti Bigtop is way too expensive, which is the only other option.

My 2010 version - now has its Reba's back on and 1x10 set-up. First and only 29", so nothing to compare against, but I like it a lot. Picked up the frame, fork(s), drivetrain and bits from the STW classifieds - so didn't break the bank
