I know they don't make them for the general public but having seen some on the feet of Adam Blythe and Mark Cavendish recently I wondered who made them and if there was any way of getting hold of a pair?

I had some Nike MTB shoes about 15 years ago.

They were rubbish ๐Ÿ˜ก

I liked my poobah's but the sole split after not much use, and my wife still uses her ngubas. Bought in the days when shoes had proper names ๐Ÿ™‚

Looks like a DMT R3 to me. Note the bit at the bottom of the page on the Wiggle link below

Diamant represents the main reference point for engineering and development for Nike, one of the giant companies in the global sportswear field.

Nike shoes used to be (I believe) actually a Trek product - made using a licence from Nike. When the big poster boy for Nike Cycling (L.Armstrong) fell out of favour, the whole thing stopped.

Soon after this, Trek started producing shoes under the Bontrager brand - so I assumed these to be the natural successor to Nike cycling shoes.

If Nike are getting back in on the picture, I wonder if they're doing it directly, or by once again licencing the brand to an existing manufacturer.

My Lance Allroad shoes were some of the best shoes I've ever owned.
