Hey folks, i'm signed up to ride the puffer lite in a week and a bit (if i get over the shingles!). I then realised i don't have any lights. Now hopefully there should only be a few hours of darkness, however it is the highlands so could be misserable.

So basically i'm looking for you lovely people to reccomend me a suitable piece of kit for the job. I'm not going to totally scrimp as i want it to do me for other rides and last more than a season. But not lupine amounts of cash either.

Also will i get away with just a bar mounted light if it is of good quality?

Cheers, Al.

Have a look for the ones on Deal extreme that Trout reviewed/ disected on here..

They work out at about £48...

Get this - https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149

But do the mods Trout suggested - have a search for his thread.

And maybe a torch for your helmet too - P7 from the same place?

Their site is working really badly for me at the moment.

Edit: too late!

Bar or helmet mount is a personal preference thing, plenty of people (me included) are happy with bar-mounted lights only. (But I also have a mini LED headtorch as emergency backup and for fixing flats etc.)
