[quote="Rusty Spanner"]Posh AWOL?
Yeah. I think the frameset & bars are the only original parts left ! Not brand new, but not far off. The original owner works in the bike biz so although not quite a money-no-object build he has access to a pretty extensive parts bin. He also gets bored very quickly and has a new bike every month or two. Which worked out well for me here.

Originally a 2014 AWOL Comp, it now has:

Alfine 11 Di2
Gates Carbon Drive
105 cranks
R785 hydro brakes
Alfine dynohub (although see other thread)
B&M lights
XM719 rims
Thomson stem / post

This is the only pic I have to hand, it wasn't quite finished at the time. Since then it's gained mudguards & a pizza rack, and the tyres have been changed to 29x1.7 Fatboy slicks.

First impressions are that I need to do some work on the cable routing. Then, that the brakes suck. They must need bleeding, and they squeal really badly. Electric hub gears feel weird. Quite neat to be able to change gear while stationary though. Needs skinnier tyres for the road. And it's not lightweight.

It'll be fun though.

Bad pic from last night. Looks better in the first one tbh.

Not been offroad, I only picked it up Sunday evening ! And it's on slick tyre so that might be 'interesting' on anything muddy. It's destined for mainly family outings and maybe commuting if I get a job nearer home one day.
