Got some vouchers for chrimbo and thinking of buying myself a new stem for my Anthem.
I was thinking of a thomson x4 as it seems universally liked, but I can also get a crank bros cobalt 3 for about 20 quid less, and its also a bit lighter.
I know all about the thomson quality, not so much about the cobalt. Will be using it for XC and trail use mainly, occasional small jumps and drops that you'd find at trailcentres etc.
any thoughts?

What Anthem is it? The ones with the Overdrive headset system need non-standard stems IIRC - 1.25" instead of 1&1/8"...

2011 model. I've got a standard 1 1/8th stem on there at the moment
