Looks exactly like my old one. Which I loved. Apart from the hopping bottle cage and the uber long stem. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha the bottle is a bit of a trial as it was cheap so seeing if it's any good.

The stem is a little work in progress at the moment, once I got funds I may shorten it.

Those cages are brilliant, one on my Soul and two on my road bike ๐Ÿ™‚

tuffty,

I Like them bit difficult to get the bottles out at first. Maybe I'll have a colour change at some point

Are your grips supposed to be on like that? (also flat bar/stem and spacers fail).

Apart from what looks like upside down bars and more seatpost than I have, it looks fine.

What forks are you using, and where did you get them.
Looking at some new ones for a FS build that are 120mm.

Nice racy looking build.

I think a flipped stem and small spacer stack with flat bars is good despite being against the rules.

I had the same cage on mine. It was the stealth black one though. Use them on my road bike too. They're ace. Just not so sure about the colour.
My Solaris was a large with a 50mm stem and it was perfect. I'm 6'1".

Not sure on the rules on spacers and flat bars.....any lower and it causes back pain.

The forks are sids 120 xx one of the best forks ive ridden.

What's new about it over the old version?

Oh & I'd be taking at least one link out of that chain

Looks a bit slack on the bigger cogs, so will be even worse on the smaller ones, start with removing one link & see how it goes

Seems to be missing a couple of chainrings. You won't top 20mph on the flat with that set up

Do you have a set of these to get on it?

Looks good, but how long is that stem? I've got a 75mm Specialized job kicking about the shed if you fancy trying something shorter. It's a funny thing that can be -16, -8, +8 or +16 degrees depending on how you mount it. So fun for fine tuning position.

I'll try a shorter stem at some point.

The grass aint mine so why do I need to cut it?

Gearing for the peaks is fine I do spin out on long easy road sections but not on the road often.

What's going on with the cable/hose to the left of the stem?

That's the rear brake line....it's always been like that I need to sort it out.

Love the colour ๐Ÿ™‚

But the bar thing, are they actually risers but upside down? Move the spacers above the stem and flip the bars over - same height but hand position will be much better.

I know what people are saying about the bars. They are a flat bar and the writing is the right way round, maybe the angle makes them look bad.

It's the angle your grips are at that makes them appear odd.

Most people run Ergon type grips a lot 'flatter' than that - the way you have them makes the whole bar look like it's twisted.

I've had my Solaris for the best part of 4 months now, love it

What size is the bike and how tall are you? Seat looks seriously high

Didn't have large green in stock when I was ordering so had to go for the duck egg blue, which has grown on me a lot
