Hello.
I have got a scott scale 980 which is about 3 weeks old now and speced with rockshox silver solo air and i have had noticed that this morning i commuted and my lock out worked fine however after riding home i noticed my lock out isnt working anymore, just like that!
Ive heard something about oil leaking but i am have no experience with fork servicing or understanding how they work.
The lock mechanism on top if the fork is working fine, it is internally where i think the problem lays.
Is this something i can sort my self or is it a bike repair shop visit?
Any help would be really appreciated.

If it's 3 weeks old, contact the shop/supplier. If you mess with it and make it worse, or mark it in some way, they will assume you broke it and refuse any warranty.
sounds like not enough oil in the damper; if it starts out of the blue it sounds like it's leaking out.
but yeh, agree with tthew.
Take it back to shop you bought it from.
