Saw this a couple of months ago, its now out in the wild. Fair bit different to the current lineup.

Three flip-chips!

Linkage progression, chainstay length and rear axle height vs BB (ie changes BB height and angles, probably for mullet vs full 29).

Three flip-chips!

I don't know why  more brands don't do this?! Excellent idea. I've got one on the Vitus which give me a 'trail' and 'enduro' bias. Swaps quickly and seems effective and reliable.
Lovely looking bike too.

Straight seat tube for deeper insertion (assuming the weld doesn’t interfere)

How tall must that rider be though? Look how much seatpost is exposed.

Chonky looking pivot and linkage as well, eh?

“ I don’t know why more brands don’t do this?!”

It’s got way more popular in recent years, especially on downhill bikes. I’ve loved it ever since I got a Banshee with swappable dropouts.

“Straight seat tube for deeper insertion”

Good spot!

makes sense why i get weekly emails with big discounts off the current line-up!

Looks pretty decent, although aesthetically i prefer as many straight tubes on a bike as possible.

It's a prototype, chunky looking is the normal.

Seattube looks about 420mm no wonder there is so much seatpost showing.

It worked on me!

I guessed there was a new bike coming but I couldn't resist this with nearly £800 off RRP. I'm very happy with it.

That Ohlins 141 is lovely sharkattack, absolute bargain as well. I’m on a 161 that I built up second hand, solid bikes. Was expecting a revision of the existing frames, maybe a mullet linkage or flip chips and the UDH rear end. This is a fair bit different. Very happy with my V1 so won’t be a change for me, hope they stay true to the Privateer branding though and don’t go the way transition have from decent dependable good value aluminium frames to Santa Cruz/Yeti levels of boutique pricing!

Nice, I love me a short and straight seat tube with a long dropper.
