I'm fitting a new set of brakes to the mighty Krampus this evening, the new ones came with rotors included in the box.

Is there any reason why I should change the rotors too?

Will bedding in be easier/quicker if I use the old rotors?

FWIW, I've already removed the front rotor as I've got a new front wheel and the rotors provided with the brakes are the same size as the old/current ones.

I wouldn't think there will be much difference in bedding in etc really.

That said, I would probably just fit the new rotors if you have new brakes.... Particularly if a different brand to the original ones.

If the old ones aren't badly worn, I'd just keep using them.

Thanks for the replies.

I decided to follow both suggestions and have fitted a new rotor to the front and kept the old one on the rear (although I may well change the rear one next time I remove the back wheel)

Maybe just me, but if I fit new rotors with used pads ( not applicable to you I know) I sometimes end up with brake judder, especially on the front. I'd definitely fit the new discs, keep the old ones as spares in case of damage.

I know this issue with older, "softer" forks. All these new, fat 34 or 36 or so forks don't have this problem any more (I think at least).
