Well, so much for a 4th of July long weekend of mountain biking. Due to the 10 or so forest fires presently burning, they have pretty much closed all of the state and national forests and even the local Albuquerque foothills trails are closed.
See the link below for some pictures of the largest fire near Los Alamos at about 161 square miles. Scroll down on the page to the pictures----makes one feel somewhat significant.
