in wmtb and on the marin website is says it has a vanilla r fork.
which i have been told is a coil.
bloke at chevin cycles says it has a air fork on it.
can anyone shed light on this please.
A quick Google search suggests they're spec'd with Vanilla's. All Vanillas are coil, Float and Talas are air.
My local shop has one on display but i can't remember what it has?!!!
New Marin Rocky Ridge... Answer
Bloke at Chevin Cycles is a Muppet
Unless it is a special/shop exchanged fork the fork is a Van 32R (coil fork). Ed Bike Co-op has one in stock and I can confirm it is a Van 32R. Which in my opinion is a very capable fork (I run one on a Stiffee).
Official spec is 32 VanR QR15.
Ive got a sneaking suspicion the 09 ones we have in stock though do however come with a 32 Float R QR15. Ill check tomorrow ๐
Yup, the one at my work is a vanilla. Not like I've been wheelying it round the sales floor, oh no...
Know its a while ago now but my suspicion was correct.
Both of our stock 09 Rocky Ridges are fitted with Float R QR15 forks.
Must be one batch thats come through specced with the wrong ones.
I've heard of this in another instance too.
Maybe they ran out of Vanillas?
It's got Floats on in our shop too.
