[#11466514]

Hi

Thanks for reading this ,long story short I've got some brand new Reba solo air 29 forks from Wiggle and I've pumped them up twice and twice they have lost air to the point I've got 10mm travel and I'm almost headbutting the front tyre !!
I've checked the valve and it's tight as is there anything I can do or is it an email to wiggle ?
The bizarre thing is I've never had any trouble with my Suntour Aion and Epixon but a bit of trouble with Rockshox ??
Advice warmly welcome
Ta

Lost immediately or lost while riding?

Put some slightly watered down washing up liquid around anywhere you think air could be escaping from (e.g. valve, top cap, foot nut and around the wiper seal [this will only tell you that it’s leaking into the lowers]). Bubbles will show where the air is coming from, if you’re lucky it’s something simple otherwise it’s an email to Wiggle

Seal has failed by the sounds of it. send em back as identical to mine when new.
Mine would actuallypush the dust seal our eventually. Turn round about a week.

So......... The forks hold air BUT I have put 175 psi in and it's still only half way up it's travel - what does this mean ?
I've contacted Wiggle regards a refund

can you access another shock pump, just in case that's the problem

Either way they sound broken. It's not your responsibility to fix a brand new fork, send em back.

Are you getting correct sag when you pump them up? From your comment above it sounds like maybe not..

If not, is it possible that you are not actually pumping the fork up - if you don't screw the pump on enough the air won't go into the fork and the reading will just show the pressure in the pump / hose.

175psi!!!!!!

You shouldn’t really need any more than 90-100 for even the heaviest riders.

Fairly sure 175psi is way over the maximum pressure.

Is this not the seal between the +ve and - ve chambers failing? I'd be getting in touch with Wiggle. It will be a mega faff, but you SHOULD be able to return them.

It might be quickest to sort the return, ask for a refund, and buy a replacement set in media when the return is accepted.

The valve is tight , the shock pump is definitely screwed on even pumping in 175 psi I still have 20% sag - wiggle warranty are getting back to me only problem I can see is the fact I've cut the steerer down
