It would be between the Grip2 36 and the RC2 Lyrik for me. And I suspect the latter is available a fair bit cheaper! If the FIT4 2018 is the only 36 option then definitely the 2019 Lyrik.

Lyrik, they both get great reviews, but the RS ones are slightly more gushing, likely to be cheaper and they're easily home serviceable which I love.

Current forks completely destroyed?

You could wait for the upcoming mbuk / bike radar fork test, but I suspect even then the answer is Lyrik.

Lyrik RC2 over the Fit4 damper. But the Grip2 over the Lyrik.

Sorry very vague opening post . They are for a 2017 Whyte G160 , last forks has a issue with a 5 foot culvert and a wall ,so sanctions are scratched. boost and ideally 170mm travel

The grip 2 is more fork than I need tbh so many bits to mess with that's why the fit 4 looked the best offering , set and go with lockout trail and open

Shame you don't need a 29er fork... I recently indulged in a 29er Fox 36 FIT4 for my new bike, then had a moment of insanity and bought a new GRIP2 damper fork too! Have decided I prefer the orange lowers on the FIT4 fork, but want the GRIP2 damper, so just swapping those over in the next few days, then will have a brand new Fox36 Factory 29er fork with 6 ride old FIT4 damper installed (everything else new, even uncut steerer) that I will be selling off to recoup some cash...

Bugger!

Haha. Guess that's correct.
Grip is better than Fit4. Grip2 must be a dream!

I have Fox Fit4 and Fox Grip forks. The Grip stuff is so great!
