Hi

Finding time to demo a new flaremax is proving very tricky. In the meantime, has anyone ridden both by any chance? Does anyone notice the difference between the two model years?

Thanks both - can you elaborate? Different how? I know the new geometry is a fair bit longer and slacker, my main question is whether it makes the bike more of a sled, happier in a straight line, less playful? Had a bike like that a while back which I didn't get on with.

Give Cotic a call, they'll happily spell it all out for you, or email them!

A mate of mine has ridden and owned both but he hasn't elaborated much on the difference, other than the new one is quite a bit longer so it takes a bit more to get round tighter corners etc.

I've ridden both the old and new Rocket and there doesn't feel much difference when just bimbling along or climbing but there's an extra level of stability when going down.

Not ridden the old flaremax but have ridden the new flaremax (29 guise) and old rocketmax (plus guise, lyrics) on two consecutive lap of the cotic loop.

Flaremax was awesome. Preferred it to the rocketmax.

I’m waiting for the new rocketmax though 😉
