I need a new lid. Just done a 12 day cycling holiday and my current MET has had it. It was horrid to wear most of the time.

So, something under £50 that fits a 62cm noggin please.
'One size fits all' helmets don't.
Anything sized at up to 61cm sits like a molehill on a mouintain.
Bell and Spesh lids don't fit (Too long and thin)

I'd like something more vented than a Xen....

Any ideas? 🙂

You say no to Bell but the Triton XL fits my melon well and sits nice and low on my head..

See, thing is, I spent £70 on my current MET Predatore 2 years ago, and I don't really like it. It's never been very comfortable even though the size is right, I've never been able to get the straps to fit right, and the 'padding' is crap, and has now literally fallen apart. I could get new pads for it, but I just fancy something different TBH. 🙂

What's the padding like Jools? Is there a single pad across the brow? Gaps just leave sweat leaking down my nose and eyes.....

I sweat like, well, like a fat bloke. It's OK for me no sweat in my eyes.

It seems perfectly made for the large of head nice and comfy and the sides actually come down to my ears.

They are out of production now but they still have them here.

The current big head model is the XLV but I have not tried one.

I got a giro phase for my large bonce.
Had a MET parachute, that fitted great, but the new METs made my head look like a helipad. Not 'slimming' at all.

That Giro looks OK. Decent padding? 🙂

The phase? If so then it's pretty normal
