It arrived! 5 1/2 months after ordering. Its a lovely bike to ride and I'll have plenty of time to bond with it this summer. Feel free to comment on lack of tyre alignment, hedge needing a trim, leaves to be swept, and I need to cut down the steerer a little bit more. I did buy a matching rear wheel but it arrived with a knackerd bearing so has been sent back to be fixed.

Thank you Charlie the Bike Monger for being patient with my incessant emails asking if it was in yet. Truly worth the wait.

A bit too clean for me....

Tim, I'll be riding it as much as possible as it still feels strange. Tandem ride sat but will be out Sun for a MTB.

Now that is so lovely I was initially distracted from the state of your patio furniture!

I really like Niners, there's one in my garage, but that top picture looks like a Marin.

I think I prefer the older model to that one.

Just my worthless opinion.

I think it looks better in the black/orange but for my lack of care, throw it in the shed muddy approach, the anodized black is the way forwards....... Some more pics maybe looks less like a Marin or a one-one?!?

That's better.

Rear hose needs shortened.
No dust cap on the valves.
Garden table needs treated.

Still, as much as I love Niner's, it's just not got the wow for me, sorry.
I have a Nicolai too(which I love) but some of them are plain gopping.

Just ignore me.

Edit: Last pic looks better.

Flatfish I agree, not a wow bike but that's part of what I like! And dust caps are heavy don't you know 😉

I hate it when things match, all my chris king headsets go in upside down and turned so the logos don't match..... I think I caught it from my wife who is allergic to symmetry.

is the new wheel an SS or geared one, I like the fact you can swap them about and the EBB is good for that. I've got a Sir 9 started off SS now 1x9 soon 1x10 then probably back to SS

The new dead one was a hope hoops geared one but I have a few SS hubs to play with which I'll build onto a crest (or something less annoying to get tyres onto) over time. Hope are ace for service however and was good to be able to chat to them when I found the issue.

Much prettier in Tang but I still prefer my all black one, the niner graphics on my one on the down tube are polished sections not stickers. Very nice!

No, no, no. Yours looks much better.
Have you had it on the scales yet...?
I'll bet its not much over 20lb.
Lovely bike.

SIR9 here. I keep a spare 1x10 rear wheel that goes on if I want gears. Thinking I'd leave the shifter mount on the bars, & the mech all cabled up & hanging on the wall. Then just have to swap chains, mount the shifter pod & screw on the mech. Well that was the plan, till I noticed the cable stop isnt slotted... 🙄

nice bike! - almost ordered one of these at the start of the year (to run a alfine on the back), but went for a Canyon instead as i just couldnt stretch to the £800 for the frame (canyon was 1350 for the whole bike).

It's me - Luke 🙂 *waves*

you'll need to get used to not having gears again now but looks like it'll be great for Stanmer.

Ah hi luke! Didn't get used to the gears so feels at home already, apart from some contact point adjustment. Thinking of heading to Stanmer on Sunday unless I head down to this hell of the west race.....

Rory was telling me about it and sort of caught my interest, it's a 100km cyclocross/mtb sportif around dart moor. Big hills apparently but quite tempting. Shame it's so far away.

It's been rescheduled for September;

If you don't like them all matching have them on the opposite side.

Also caps for prestas are not important.

Daft question - is that a One9 or a carbon Air9?
