Random question for those in the know.

I’m getting back in to riding and now looking to pick up a full suss to do some longer rides on.

Unfortunately I don’t have a huge budget so looking at used options. There are a few nice 2013 models about (Scott spark 930 29er) and I just wondered if I’d be missing out on much by buying an older model versus new. Has much changed?

Thanks in advance.

Everything has changed. There are less of the things that there used to be lots of. Things that were high have got lower, things that were narrow have got wider. If something had a number then l it's almost certainly not the same number as it was. Good luck

What's the budget? And what size bike are you looking for?

Do you mean 2018 or 2013? If '18 then in terms of what you're looking at I suspect nothing dramatic has changed

No it’d be the 2013 versions as I can’t spend over £800ish.

Looking for a full suss XC bike to do things like south down way etc, so nothing too chunky, but more comfortable than my hardtail.

The last full suss that I had was a Kona four supreme, which I adored, but I’m sure that even a 2013 bike will be a big step forward compared to what I’m used to!
