Right as above

I'm not full enduro but I like my current 160 bike it's just tired.

I don't do trail centres much n want to do more big mountain stuff
I'm off the alps in October (got a spare place going on a guided trip with ride Slovenia if anyone is interested)

Did toy with a 140 29er like a jeffsy

My current favourite is a 2016 intense tracer from merlin or a whyte g160

But I'm open to more confusion...

Cheers

Get the new top of the range Intense Tracer it's only 10 grand !!!!!

Seriously, there are loads of 2016 bargains about at the moment, I suggest you get a couple of demos in sharpish if you can.

if you're considering 140mm 29ers

https://www.rutlandcycling.com/309820/products/2016-specialized-stumpjumper-fsr-elite-29-mountain-bike---green-grey.aspx

is good value at 40% off rrp...

I got a carbon Tracer T275C from Merlin for a relatively bargain price.

Frame alone was £2600 rrp and if you're after a Small you can get a whole carbon bike for that.

Otherwise all the alloy and carbon ones seem good value ... and they do finance *insert sly smiley*

There's some crazy good deals on the Canyon outlet site right now. You can get a top end carbon Strive or Spectral for around £2700.

You can get a top end carbon Strive or Spectral for around £2700.

But you would be gambling with it actually arriving before you are old and mouldy, or it having a working warranty.

Those discount carbon Strives would be good for Rivi, they climb really well and feel a bit more nippy than some enduro bikes.

It seems a 10% off code works today only at Merlin.

I just tried it with an intense Carbon and it seemed to work .

LOVE10 for anyone interested ..

If I was shopping for a 160mm bike right now, my shortlist would consist of:-

Orange Alpine 6
Mojo Geometron

Ibis HD3? Sweamrs is on an 2016 Intense Tracer and loves it. I like my HD3 just as much. We've used them for everything from 7 day stage races like BCBR (admittedly no where near the competitive end) to Downhill shuttling.

I wasn't super keen on the pressfit BB but (touch wood) it's been fine so far.

If you want a 160mm 'trail bike' rather than a big, slack, enduro gnarpoon I'd probably look at something like an Ibis HD3, Bronson, etc.

I couldn't have a Capra, purely because I don't want to be one of 'those' people 😉

This is a good price at Winstanley's in small...
https://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/78798/Giant_Reign_Advanced_275_1_2016_Bike

Though be wary the reach drops sharply from M to S frames.

I'm loving my 2016 Nukeproof Mega Team 27.5. Its a much better allrounder than the Orange Alpine 5 it replaced.

I'm not an orange fan...

The intense is winning though Scott have a load of 2016 genius lt plus left... down from 3.5 to 2.5...

Though the transition patrol looks good...

On a different note got told today my local suspension dude has bollocked up my xfusion forks up they're beyond economical repair. On a plus the offered me new forks for half rrp...

What, one of 'those' people that buy a fantastic vfm bike for half the price of a SC? Or one of 'those' people that buy a far more capable bike than an Ibis HD? Get over yersen 😉
