Surly Steamroller in 'cream', silver Halo track wheels (black spokes), chrome bars/stem, minimal front braking, some tan leather/faux leather bits, some goldy lookin' bits...

Token track bars. With matching stem.

Nice build. I didn't find the radial laced front Halo wheel all that stiff - see how you get on with it. Great hubs though those Token jobbies, very tough.

Very fine and purty! And great for that 1 mile commute, eh? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Liking those colours!
If I were you I'd zip tie those toe straps to the pedal cages though, or the axles will eat them!

Nice looking bike but if I were you I would swap to a slightly narrower BB. Then you could move the chain ring to the outside of the crank spider where it would look much better!!

I'm a bit of a sad perfectionist!

oh your sick

That's what yer mum said

LOL! It's not even a mile... I basically live at the top of a 1:6 hill and work at the bottom:

It takes longer to get a bike out of the shed and negotiate it through the house than it does to ride it to work!

I still do it, though ๐Ÿ™‚

But not when it's raining I'll wager, (not on that bike at least)

Nice. Some Berthoud mudguards would make it a bit more practical, alhough I'm guessing that's not the point. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Mr A,

Practical? Who said owt about being practical?! It's the least practical bike in my arsenal ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a special birthday-present-to-self to take away (some of) the pain of reaching that certain age at which life is supposed to begin...

I'm racing 'Cross in the Vets category next season ๐Ÿ™

Cool. Where did the seat post come from as I'm after a 27.2 silver post.

It would seem they are indeed quite hard to come by, especially affordable ones. Best I could do was the Charge Chopstick. Not exactly a chrome finish, but very shiny silver:

I have friend who used a similar colour scheme with brown leather tape and saddle.

Nice!

Nice build.

I wish people wouldn't use the term "fixie".

Fixed!

Eeeh, I remember when "gay" meant "fun and carefree"...
