After my old, long-suffering frame finally gave up 3 weeks back, I've been riding various cobbled-together death-bikes while I waited for a new one. The good people at Orange have sorted me out super-quick and from now-on I will be riding this:
I will, however, be removing the rear tyre as soon as possible. Seriously, there is some French postie sitting on a serious stash of riding kit, it is starting to really get annoying!
F*** Yeah!
Nice bike
Nice product placement ๐
Hey, I made the sign too, had to get it in there! ๐
Nice bike. You're right, get rid of that rear tyre ASAP though because that's a serious colour clash!!
Steve, take it for a wee blast down that little trail just up from the chalet. You know, the one mleh closed down.
Been wanting to all day, lots to do! Getting dark now, but still tempted. This weeks' guests haven't arrived yet.
Rode the new beast all day today. It rocks! The front end is surprisingly low for the amount of travel so it climbs really well when sitting down and the cornering is nice and sharp. Stand up and shift your weight back and it flies.
The rear end does feel a wee bit firm, I might try a softer spring. That said, I do seem to have used all the travel without having really done anything jumpy/droppy today.
rear tyre FAIL
I will, however, be removing the rear tyre as soon as possible.
It has nae grip either. Although, to be fair in the amount of dust we've got at the moment, not much does...
looks wicked, how much does it weigh roughly?
Haven't had it on the scales, but I reckon it can't be more than 33lbs. It really does feel light for the amount of travel. Pretty sure it's lighter than the Heckler it replaced.
EDIT: MBR reckon the air-sprung one they tested was 31.8lbs, so a couple of lbs heavier for my coil one sounds about right.
